Outside the USA the propietary Buffalo firmware is available, starting at the initial 1.75 followed by 1.76 and as begin 2012 the 1.85 version. But outside the USA it ships with a "professional firmware" installed and this is a DD-WRT firmware with Buffalo Logo. Both flavors can be obtained from, the European Buffalo site.
